An seasoned manager with over 15 year’s experience in major engineering design and construction projects for electrical and electronic systems in both fixed and wireless applications, including Circuit and Packet Switching, 3G, GSM, WiFi and WiMax.
Experience with the end-to-end management of complex projects and solutions involving complex stakeholder groups and parties not directly contracted with, delivering projects that bring together diverse internal departments, designers, consultants, sub-contractors and vendors, managing the relationships to maintain program and cost in both virtual, matrix and hierarchical structures.
Delivered process change and re-engineering internally and externally, providing process analysis from strategic KPIs, to milestones and activities. Ensuring the delivery of prescriptive not descriptive frameworks for processes and projects.
Technical Project Management and Bid Management experience including pricing, P & L accounts, Risk analysis and management, proposal preparation, corporate approval and client negotiation. Also over twelve years experience of variation (change control) assessment, negotiation and approval as both client and contractor.
Experience H & S management and the culture that supports compliance including management of H & S and access regimes including those requirements specific to the transportation and hi security arenas.
Experienced people manager with many years experience of managing large project teams, with both direct and virtual reports.
Ideally I like projects with an elemnt of risk in either the complexity or the schedule. I am not particually worried about the size of the project or its budget. I'm more than happy to look at projects that are late, over budget or just in disarray. In fact I'm quite excited by this type of challenge.
